How Firm Is the GhostBed?
The GhostBed got an 8 out of 10 on the scale, which means it is more firm than average.
The high-density support foam is the reason for much of this firmness. The high-density support foam is designed to provide a stable sleeping surface that is well-suited to back and stomach sleeping styles.
Sleeping on the GhostBed
The GhostBed will make for an excellent investment for back sleepers because it will provide enough support for many years.
Ghostbed is by far one of the best mattresses for back sleepers. However if you are lightweight, you may find it a little too firm.

The right balance of comfort and support is what those closer to 230 lbs will likely find.
Stomach sleepers in this weight range should find the GhostBed comfortable.
The GhostBed is not the best bed for an average weight side sleeper. It simply doesn’t have enough give to relieve pressure points. For average weight side sleepers, take a look at the Ghostbed Luxe.
Heavyweight Sleepers (>230 lbs)
The Ghostbed is comfortable, but if you are more than 300 lbs it is important to choose a mattress that has been made with coils for added durability and support.
The GhostBed should be able to provide just the right level of firmness for stomach sleepers who weigh around 230 lbs. If you weigh more than 300 lbs, however, you should find a more sturdy mattress.
The GhostBed may feel too firm to be truly comfortable for heavyweight side sleepers. We recommend checking out the Ghostbed Flex if this is you.
Lightweight Sleepers (<130 lbs)
